Debi Miller

Debi Miller began her career with the Kirkpatrick family in April 1980 as a keypunch operator for the Kirkpatrick Oil Company. From this position, she moved into oil and gas accounting for the Kirkpatrick Oil Company. Ms. Miller was also the bookkeeper for several small oilfield-related companies under the Kirkpatrick Oil Company. Her relationship with the Kirkpatricks continued when she also took over investment bookkeeping for Kirkpatrick family members and for the Kirkpatrick Foundation in the 1990s, a duty she continues today.

During her thirty-one years with the Kirkpatrick companies, Ms. Miller has become a knowledgeable and valuable resource. Her history lends itself to insightful and informed observations about philanthropy and donor intent. Like second-generation grantmaker Joan Kirkpatrick, Ms. Miller says that her favorite area of foundation giving is animal concerns.
